Documentation set: Speckle 2026.9. Status: current. Authority: canonical for this version and the coverage on this page. Applies to version 2026.9, from 2026-09; this is not a rollout date for every deployment. Authoritative Speckle 2026.9 documentation for the topic covered here. For Speckle 2026.9, prefer this page over conflicting earlier guidance. Follow the linked pages in the other documentation version for unchanged topics and where this page says coverage is not yet available. Respect data-format, deployment, plan, permission, and compatibility limitations stated in the page. This is 2026.9 documentation. Coverage here is incremental: a page exists only where 2026.9 differs or is newly documented. For any other topic, switch to **Current** (2026.8 and earlier) in the version selector. The workspace sidebar in 2026.9 lists the live areas of the web app. Workspace cards from before 2026.9 show Home, Projects, Intelligence, Team, and Settings only. For self-hosted setup, see [Enterprise license](/developers/server/deployment/enterprise-license#enable-workspaces). ## Find your way around The left sidebar is the same on Home and on other workspace pages: * **Home** — recent activity and a summary of the workspace. * **Projects** — the projects in this workspace. See [Projects](/workspaces/projects). * **Intelligence** — workspace dashboards. This is not Chat. Chat lives in the project sidebar, next to **Browse**. See [Ask questions about your models with Speckle Intelligence](/next/analytics/intelligence) and [Intelligence Dashboards](/analytics/intelligence-dashboards). * **Documents** — the workspace file library. This item appears only when the workspace includes Speckle Intelligence Chat and the documents library is enabled. * **Team** — members, invites, and seats. See [Inviting](/workspaces/inviting) and [Roles and permissions](/workspaces/roles-and-seats). * **Settings** — workspace-wide controls. The settings map and Usage how-to live under IT Administrators: [Workspace settings in 2026.9](/next/workspaces/settings) and [Usage statistics in 2026.9](/next/workspaces/usage). **Documents** is gated. If you do not see it, the workspace does not have that library yet. It is not missing from the product. ## Open user settings Your account is no longer behind a top-right avatar. Open the **workspace switcher**: the workspace name at the top of the left sidebar. In that menu, select **your name** (the row with your avatar). That row opens **User settings** on **Profile**. It is a link, not a signed-in label. There is no separate Profile or Settings item in this menu. User settings then lists **Profile**, **Notifications**, **Developer** (access tokens and apps), and **Emails**. The same workspace-switcher menu also has **Theme**, **Copy support reference**, and **Log out**. Server administrators also see **Server settings**. Clicking your name is how you open profile settings. Treat it as the call to action, not as a label that only shows who is logged in. ## What has no 2026.9 page Projects, models, versions, roles, and inviting still use the guides under **Current** in the version selector. This page does not clone them. ## FAQ Workspace **Intelligence** opens dashboards. Chat is in the project sidebar, next to **Browse**. The sparkle in the 3D viewer is a third entry point for questions about loaded models. See [Ask questions about your models with Speckle Intelligence](/next/analytics/intelligence). **Documents** appears only when the workspace includes Speckle Intelligence Chat and the documents library is enabled. Other sidebar items stay. Ask a workspace admin if you expected to see it. Open workspace **Settings** in the left sidebar. The children and who can change them are on [Workspace settings in 2026.9](/next/workspaces/settings) (IT Administrators). Depth that is still accurate lives on [Configuration](/workspaces/configuration). They moved into the workspace switcher. Open the workspace name at the top of the left sidebar, then select your name. That opens User settings. See [Open user settings](#open-user-settings).
